AMARILLO, Texas – Today, Jim Allen, a Texan held in a Haitian prison with nine other Americans who were in the country to assist relief victims, was released from jail on a judge’s orders. In regard to his release, Mr. Allen made the following statement:

DALLAS, Texas – Today, Jim Allen, a Texan who was held in a Haiti prison with nine Baptists who were in the country to assist relief victims, was released from jail on a judge’s orders. Mr. Allen, a welder and small business owner, will land in – for a homecoming with family and close friends, and is expected to arrive in his hometown of Amarillo, Texas.
