Here They Go Again… Atheist Group Attacks Presidential Oath

There are truly no limits to what the Freedom From Religion Foundation will do to religiously cleanse our nation. Now, they are taking their intimidation campaign all the way to the White House.

On November 8, FFRF sent a letter to President Obama, asking him to eliminate religious language from the Oath of Office. The atheist group also suggests that the President place his “hand on the Constitution instead of the Bible.” They even go as far as requesting that he “Restore the presidential oath to its original form and begin the necessary process of divorcing American politics from religion.”

There is a reason our Founding Fathers made the freedom of religion our “first freedom,” as it is the foundation upon which all other freedoms rest. Today, groups like FFRF, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the ACLU are ramping up efforts, trying to erase any trace of faith from public view, creating a nation that would be unrecognizable to our Founders

We are hopeful that President Obama will not give in to the bullying tactics of the FFRF, but will reaffirm his oath the way presidents have done throughout our history.

We can’t let these groups intimidate us into hiding our religious beliefs. Liberty Institute is fighting back, and we need your support. Help us protect and restore religious freedom across America, by sharing our information with your friends and family. We can win when we stand and fight back, and we have proven that with our 99 percent win rate. No one should be required to silence their beliefs and we can help ensure that doesn’t happen.

Also, please continue to give. We need your generous financial support to ensure that we can help those throughout the U.S. who are facing religious hostility and continue our important work of defending and restoring religious liberty in America.
