Liberty Institute Defends Pregnancy Resource Centers in Austin


The city of Austin, Texas passed an ordinance that unfairly targets pro-life Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs), requiring them to post a sign at their front entrances with a misleading message about the services that they do not provide. Facilities that do provide abortions, however, are not required to post any signs or disclaimers referencing their services or procedures.

Liberty Files Appeal on Behalf of Opulent Life Church


Liberty Institute, on behalf of Opulent Life Church and its pastor, Telsa DeBerry, filed an appeal at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, asking the court to reverse the District Court’s decision and grant the church a preliminary injunction allowing it to lease a building on the town square.

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss., March 15, 2012 – This week, the U.S. Justice Department filed a brief with 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of Opulent Life Church in Holly Springs, Miss., a client of the Liberty Institute. The church seeks permission to renovate and use a building it leased on the town square to accommodate its growing congregation.
