Barna Survey: Most Americans Concerned About Religious Freedom

While the mainstream media continues to downplay the increasing attacks on religious freedom in the U.S., a recent study by The Barna Group shows that most Americans are truly concerned about the future of our First Freedom.

The survey included more than 1,000 adults from varying religions and beliefs, and of those polled, more than half are “very” or “somewhat” concerned that religious freedom will become more restricted over the next five years. In fact, one-third of those surveyed believe those restrictions have already increased during the past decade.

One of the more alarming statistics showed that in general, younger Americans are less concerned about religious freedom, with only 19% of young Christians being “very concerned about the issues of religious liberty.”

Liberty Institute is on the front lines in the fight for our religious freedom and we can assure you…the threat is very real and the attacks are increasing at an unprecedented rate.

To alert the nation about this very serious issue, Liberty Institute launched The Survey of Religious Hostility in America, a compilation of more than 600 documented incidents of religious attacks throughout the country – and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Although our First Freedom is in great peril, there is hope. Individuals and organizations that stand up for religious liberty can win, and are winning. That is why we are so grateful for Liberty Institute ’s win rate of 99 percent – this is an achievement that we never take for granted.
